Diabetis and Hypertension are the two main causes of Coronavirus related deaths

The pace of Coronavirus is slowly decreasing in the country. Meanwhile, important facts have been revealed in Delhi regarding Coronavirus infection. According to the information given under the Right to Information, one in five people who died of Coronavirus in Delhi between March and October had a complaint of diabetes and hypertension or high blood pressure. These two diseases were common among the deaths in Delhi. After them, pneumonia is third among those who died of the corona.

According to the news published in the Indian Express, about 45% of the people had not been diagnosed with any disease. Data shows that between March 1 and September 30, 5,509 people died in Delhi due to Coronavirus infection. Complete age and gender data are available in respect of 5,283 of these cases. Of these, 1,086 people were suffering from both diabetes and high blood pressure. At the same time 989 patients were suffering from pneumonia. 695 people had diabetes only and 678 people had only hypertension or high blood pressure.
