Amit Shah to Visit Manipur Today

New Delhi, 27/12: Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister will visit Manipur on Sunday. Shah will inaugurate a number of projects in the state and will address a public rally at Hapta Kangjeibung in Imphal.

He will meet civil society organizations of Manipur like Kuki Inpi Marup (KIM), United Naga Council, (UNC), and Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI). He will also lay the foundation stones of Churachandpur Medical College, IIT Muongkhong, a state government guest house, state police headquarters, and an integrated command and control center in Imphal.

Shah will be honoured by Manipur Government for introducing the Inner Line Permit (ILP) system to the northeastern state as per Manipur CM N Biren Singh.

Manipur polls will take place in March 2022. The preparation has already started in the state.
