Delhi air turns toxic again

New Delhi,21/12: After some days of interval, National Capital’s air turned toxic again. The air quality index reached 402 overall and the citizen struggled to breathe fresh air. Smog(smoke and fog) has covered the whole of Delhi.

According to the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR) report, PM10 pollutants in Chandni Chowk were at 495 while PM2.5 pollutants were at 540. In Lodhi Road, PM10 pollutants were recorded as 319 while PM2.5 pollutants stood at 393.

Previously due to heavy rain, the air quality of Delhi improved significantly between  November 28 to December 18.
