Finance Minister to announce new stimulus package today
The new scheme is supposed to concentrate on MSMEs, urban and rural middle income groups, and other selected sectors.
New Delhi, 12/11: The Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitaraman is supposed to announce a new stimulus package for the country today, which is supposed to concentrate and support rural and urban middle-income groups, MSMEs, and sectors like hospitality, aviation, and services. The press conference will be held at 12:30 p.m. and the Finance Minister is supposed to give the details during that conference. The development of the scheme had been underway for almost three months and the PMO and the Ministry of Finance had considered a lot of proposals before making a final draft. The package will deal with incentives over $27 billion over five years for manufactures in ten specified sectors.
