Sensex and Nifty marked record high
New Delhi, 16/1: Sensex and Nifty marked a new high in the opening trade of the day. Sensex reached 42,000 marks for the first time whereas Nifty also gained considerable amount. Sensex rose 134.58 points and Nifty rose 32.35 points high.
The major factor affecting the rise of the Sensex and Nifty is the USA and China trade deal. The United States and China signed an initial deal to defuse their 18-month trade war, though financial markets were wary as a number of thorny issues remained unresolved.
