Lucknow, 13/12: The government of Uttar Pradesh has made it compulsory for Post-graduate medical students of the state to serve 10 years in government sectors, if any student fails to do so will be fined Rs 1 crore by the state.
The UP Principal Health Secretary Amit Mohan Prasad said that anyone failing to complete the mandatory service will be fined Rs 1 crore. He added that anyone leaving the course in between will be debarred from the PG degree course establishments for the next three years.
This decision was taken by the UP Government because of the storage of specialist doctors in state-run hospitals.
