Coronavirus death toll reaches 811 in China
Beijing, 9/2: The National Health Commission on Sunday announced that the death toll due to Coronavirus has reached 811 with 89 deaths on Saturday.
The number has now officially exceeded the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) outbreak that broke out in 2002-03. The virus had killed 774 people globally.
The number of confirmed cases jumped to over 37,000, including the 2,656 new cases that were reported on Sunday, the commission said in its daily report.
