New Delhi,14/12: The farmers’ agitation against the three black farm laws is intensifying with each passing day. The government’s attempt to negotiate with the farmers has failed miserably. Several farm bodies have called for a nine-hour hunger strike today. This is the second nationwide protest in less than a week after highways were blocked last Tuesday as a part of a countrywide shutdown call backed by opposition parties and trade unions.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will also fast along with the farmers. “Fasting is pure. Wherever you are, please fast for our farmer brothers. Pray to god that they succeed as they struggle. In the end, they’ll win for sure,” Mr Kejriwal tweeted this morning in Hindi.
