Former CJI Ranjan Gogoi takes oath as RS MP

New Delhi,19/3: Former Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi took the oath as a Rajya Sabha MP. His appointment is heavily criticized by the opposition. Many opposition leaders shouted ‘shame’ ‘shame’. The Congress staged a walkout. They alleged that Gogoi’s appointment detrimental to the independence of the judiciary.
