HinduPhobia: Karnataka textbook insults Brahmin feelings, Govt. orders the removal of the contents

Bengaluru,18/12: The Government of Karnataka has ordered the removal of the contents of the Karnataka textbook which insulted Brahmin sentiments. The book in question is the class sixth social science book.

The Primary and Secondary Education Minister S Suresh Kumar has instructed the officials of his department to constitute a committee including teachers and experts to examine social science textbook from class 1 to 10.

The book stated there was a food scarcity among people because ‘homa’ and ‘havana’ were performed by offering large quantities of foodgrains, milk, ghee, and other materials. It has also been said that sacrificing animals was helpful to farmers in cultivation.

The minister Suresh said, “such provocative content will not only lead to confusion in the society, but also hurt the feelings of the people of certain sections of the community or society”.
