India Extends Flight Ban to UK!

New Delhi, 30/12: India has extended flight bans on UK till January 7. The ban was imposed due to the new coronavirus strains that have wreaked havoc in the Country. The new strain is said to be more transmissible.

Union civil aviation minister Hardeep Singh Puri on Twitter said that, “Decision has been taken to extend the temporary suspension of flights to and from the UK till 7 January 2021. Thereafter strictly regulated resumption will take place for which details will be announced shortly”.

Last week India had imposed a ban on flights to the UK.

Till Wednesday 20 new cases of mutant corona strains were found in India. All the patients are isolated at government healthcare facilities. Reportedly 33,000 passengers returned from the UK between  November 25 and December 23.
