Now you can avail 50% salary if you lost your job in lockdown

The government is going to start a campaign for the  ABKY . According to media reports, the response to this has been weak so far. But, a new plan has been made to speed it up. For this, the government will advertise so that its benefits can be extended to more people. Subscribers associated with Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) who lost jobs in the Corona crisis will get relief. They can claim up to 50 percent of their salary under ABKY to get unemployment relief. Even if they have got the job again, they can take advantage of it. ESIC will use its Rs 44,000 crore fund for this.

According to the English business newspaper Economic Times, ESIC members can take advantage of this till December. Last month, ESIC decided to extend the Atal Insured Welfare Scheme from 1 July 2020 to 30 June 2021 i.e. 1 year.
