New Delhi, 6/1: The Supreme Court of India has declined to stay love jihad laws passed by Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand Government.
However, the Supreme Court issued notice to both the states on the challenges to their respective laws. Chief Justice of India SA Bobde issued notices to Uttarakhand and UP and said similar petitions are pending before the Allahabad High Court and the Uttarakhand High Court.
The court has scheduled the next hearing after four weeks.
