Two Dead after Taking Pfizer Vaccine

New Delhi, 6/1: Two people in Norway have died after receiving the coronavirus vaccine developed by Pfizer and BioNTech. Both of them are said to be Health workers. The Medical Director of the Norwegian Medicines Agency and Norway’s National Institute of Public Health is investigating the deaths.

A pediatric surgery assistant in Porto was found dead after getting the Pfizer vaccine. According to the Daily mail, Sonia Acevedo, a 41-year-old nurse suffered a “sudden death” at her home on Friday (January 1), 48 hours after being vaccinated with the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.

“We have to assess whether the vaccine is the cause of death, or if it is a coincidence that it happened soon after vaccination.” said the Medical Director of Norwegian Medicines Agency Steiner Madsen.

Madsen also added that the deaths could be coincidental in nature as the people of advanced age are receiving the vaccine first.
