1500 Indians evacuated from Maldives

New Delhi, 17/5: According to the Indian High Commission, 1500 Indians nationals stranded in the Maldives including a pregnant woman,  and children have been evacuated. This evacuation of the troubled Indians was carried out by naval ships as part of the ‘Vande Bharat Mission’. The Indian government launched the program on May 7 to bring back Indians who were stranded in various countries due to coronavirus-related restrictions.
