33 tested positive for COVID-19 at bureaucratic training academy in Mussoorie
One of the top training academy for bureaucrats at Mussoorie has been shut down for two days, after 33 of the trainees were found positive of COVID-19 on Saturday.
Mussoorie, 21/11: The Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration(LBSNAA) has been sealed off for two days after 33trainees were found positive for COVID-19 on Saturday. “We have found 33 positive cases. The hostels, mess, administrative office, and the library have been sanitized,” the academy director, Sanjeev Chopra told the media. The affected hostels and other areas will remain sealed till November 30, 2020.
A team of personnel from the Health Department along with necessary equipments and other essentials have been sent to the academy, as reported by the Dehradun District Magistrate(DM) Dr. Ashish Srivastav. There are currently 428 trainee officers across various categories of administration. Over 150 people have been tested and the ones positive for COVID-19 have been sent to quarantine.
