A Day after quitting Congress Actress Vijayashanthi joins BJP
Actor-Politician Vijayashanthi joined the Bharatiya Janata Party a day after resigning from primary membership of Congress on Sunday.
New Delhi, 7/12: Actor-Politician joined BJP a day after quitting the primary membership of Congress Yesterday. She will meet BJP chief JP Nadda at his residence.
Vijayashanti will also meet Home Minister Amit Shah. Telangana BJP chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar has left Hyderabad for the induction of Vijayashanti in the party. Vijayashanti had joined BJP in 1997. She was closely associated with TRS chief KCR during the Telangana separate statehood movement. She became an MP from Medak after she contested on a TRS ticket and represented the constituency between 2009-2014. She parted ways with TRS and joined Congress in 2014.
Looking at Vijayashanti’s habit of changing parties, it won’t be surprising, if she joins another party in a few years(or days).
