Australia beats India by 12 runs in the 3rd T20I, India wins the series 2-1

New Delhi(Sydney), 8/12: Australia beats India by 12 runs in the final T20I at SCG. Chasing a target of 187 for a win, India managed only 174 for the loss of 7 wickets. Captain Kohli top-scored with 85 off 61 balls, Opener Shikhar Dhawan scored second highest with 28 runs.

India lost destructive opener KL Rahul in the second ball of the innings. Kohli-Dhawan held the innings together with a steady partnership of 74 runs. But after the wicket of Dhawan, India’s inexperienced no.4 and no.5 Sanju Samson and Shreyas Iyer respectively, got out in the same over. Star of the limited-overs leg Hardik Pandya couldn’t get going and got out for 20. Australian spinners Adam Zampa and Mitchell Swepson choked the Indian batting and took 4 wickets combined, Glenn Maxwell, who opened the bowling also took 1-20.

In the first innings, Australia lost captain Aaron Finch for a duck. Matthew Wade and Glenn Maxwell smashed Indian Bowlers all over the park and added 90 runs together. Wade got out for 80 and Maxwell scored 56 off 36 balls. For the second match in a row, Indian spinners have gone for runs. The combination of Washington Sundar and Yuzi Chahal doesn’t seem to be working for India. The duo has gone for more than 70 runs in this match. It seems Australia is playing and bowling spin much better than the Indians. T Natarajan was impressive again and picked up a wicket for 33 runs.

The action now shifts to The Adelaide Oval for the 1st test match. The 1st test match will be a day-nighter, which will be played with a pink ball. The series begins on the 17th of December.
