Ambani’s Reliance Jio will launch 5G in India in 2021
Mumbai, 8/12: The wait for 5G among Indians has come to an end. Reliance Jio will roll out the much-awaited 5G technology as soon as next year.
Jio chief Mukesh Ambani has revealed while speaking at the Indian Mobile Congress that 5G will start rolling from the 3rd quarter of 2021. He said in a statement, “I assure you that Jio will pioneer the 5G Revolution in India in the second half of 2021. It will be powered by an indigenous-developed network, hardware, and technology components. Jio’s 5G service will be a testimony to your inspiring vision of Atma-nirbhar Bharat.”
It will be interesting to see how Jio implements 5G, its rivals Idea, Airtel, Vodafone had earlier said India is 2-3 years away from 5G as they lack the eco-system as-well-as price which is very high for 5G Spectrum.
