Breakdancing makes an entry into the Olympics!!!

New Delhi(Geneva), 8/12: Yes, you read it right, as funny and strange it may sound but it’s true that Breakdancing has entered the Olympics 2024 in Paris. The decision was taken by the International Olympic Committee on Monday, as it seeks to attract a younger audience to the historic competition.

Breakdancing will be called breaking at the Olympics, as it was in the 1970s by hip-hop legends in the US. It was proposed by Paris organizers almost two years ago after positive trials at the 2018 Youth Olympics in Buenos Aires. Breaking passed further stages of approval in 2019 from separate decisions by the IOC board and full membership.

It will be very interesting to see how breaking will prove itself in the Olympics. Will it be taken seriously by people? That only time will tell.
