President rejects Nirbhaya convict Vinay’s mercy plea

New Delhi,1/2: President Ramnath Kovind rejected the mercy plea of Nirbhaya convict Vinya Sharma. Vinya Sharma filed the mercy petition on Wednesday. He appealed to convert his death sentence to life imprisonment.

The four men were scheduled to be hanged today, but a Delhi court postponed the execution indefinitely on Friday.
