CM proposes to close Delhi markets turning into COVID-19 hotspots
In a sudden turn of events, CM Arvind Kejriwal proposed to shut down certain markets of Delhi which were turning into COVID-19 hotspots.
New Delhi, 17/11: Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is considering the closing of a selected few marketplaces on account of the rising number of COVID-19 cases. This proposal of Kejriwal came only a day after the Health Minister of Delhi, Satyender Jain declared that there were no plans to impose another lockdown anywhere in Delhi as the third wave of COVID-19 had already peaked and the cases were gradually decreasing.
Delhi has experienced another sudden rise in the number of COVID-19 infected persons. The CM thanked the Centre for adding 750 new hospital beds for the treatment of the patients suffering from the coronavirus. The State is also considering to reduce the number of people to 50 allowed for public gatherings.
