Common Eligibility Test for Central Government Jobs from Next Year

New Delhi, 29/12: Union Minister Jitendra Singh announced on Monday that, the Government will conduct a common eligibility Test(CET) for all selection of all central government jobs. The CET will be conducted from 2021.

Jitendra Singh said,  “The National Recruitment Agency (NRA) for conducting CET has been constituted with the approval of the Union Cabinet.”

Singh added, “The most significant feature of this reform is that every district in the country will have at least one examination centre which would greatly enhance access to the candidates living in far-flung areas”.

CET will only be the test for preliminary screening of candidates for the jobs and recruiting agencies like RRB, IBPS and SSC will continue to recruit candidates for specific posts.
