Kerala at Supreme Court’s doorsteps against Adani getting Thiruvananthapuram Airport lease

The State Government of Kerala took the case to the Supreme Court after the State High Court dismissed its plea against Adani getting the lease to Thiruvananthapuram airport.

Thiruvananthapuram, 24/11: The Kerala Government went to the Supreme Court in its battle against Centre’s decision of handing out the lease of Thiruvananthapuram International Airport to Adani Enterprises. The State had previously appealed against this in the Kerala High Court but its plea was dismissed. An all-party meeting was held, where the decision to challenge leasing out the airport to a private company.

“The Central Government’s decision to ‘sell’ Thiruvananthapuram International Airport to a private player is daylight robbery,” state minister Kadakampally Surendran had said, pointing out that the state had done everything for the airport, including providing land.
