Manish Kumar, a Sanitation Worker becomes the 1st person to receive Vaccine Shot in India

New Delhi, 16/1: A sanitation worker at AIIMS Delhi, Manish Kumar becomes the first person in the country to receive the coronavirus vaccine. He was vaccinated in the presence of Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan.

Apart from Manish Kumar, AIIMS Director Dr. Randeep Guleria also received the vaccine at AIIMS Delhi.

Earlier PM Modi had said that three crore frontline workers will get the vaccine shot in the first phase. Today more than three lakh healthcare workers will get vaccinated.

India started world’s largest vaccination drive today. Vaccination is taking place at 3,006 sites across the country.
