OTP based LPG cylinder delivery to start in 100 cities from today

New Delhi, 1/11: In a recent development, in order to curb the theft of Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG), customers opting for home delivery would require a one-time password (OTP).  The oil companies will be implementing the new Delivery Authentication Code (DAC) system from November 1.

This system will be first implemented in 100 smart cities then if it becomes successful, it will be expanded further. A pilot project is already underway in Jaipur and Rajasthan.
