COVISHIELD Vaccine: ICMR and Serum Institute complete enrollment for Phase-III clinical trials
ICMR and Serum Institute of India, Pune declared that they have finished enrollment for Phase-III clinical trials for the COVISHIELD Vaccine.
Pune, 12/11: Serum Institute of India(SII) and Indian Council of Medical Research(ICMR) released a statement about the update regarding the COVISHIELD Vaccine on Thursday. The official body claimed that they have finished the enrollment for the Phase-III clinical trials of the COVID-19 vaccine, Covishield in India. Presently, ICMR and SII are conducting clinical trials of the vaccine in 15 different centres across the country and while the trials are currently in Phase II/III, the results are promising. ICMR has claimed that so far the results show that the vaccine is working properly and that soon enough the Covishield would become a realistic solution for the pandemic which has captured the country as well as the world for almost a year now.
