KL Rahul Ruled out of Australia-India Test Series

New Delhi, 5/1: India’s struggle with Injury continues as KL Rahul becomes the latest entrant in the injury list. Previously Fast Bowlers Mohammad Shami and Umesh Yadav were injured during the first and second tests respectively.

According to the statement by BCCI Rahul has sprained his left wrist during India’s practice session at the MCG on Saturday. His injury will take three weeks to heal and the opener will start his rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy(NCA).

“KL Rahul sprained his left wrist while batting in the nets at the MCG during Team India’s practice session on Saturday. The wicketkeeper-batsman will not be available for the remaining two Tests of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy as he will need about three weeks time to recover completely and regain full strength. He will now return to India and head to the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru for further rehabilitation of his injury.” the BCCI said in a statement.

Rahul was not a part of the playing eleven in the first two tests. He played an instrumental role in the limited-overs leg and helped India to win the T20 series.
