Security was inadequate during Nadda Convoy attack: Bengal Governor to Centre
West Bengal governor Jagdeep Dhankar in his report to Union Home Ministry has said that the security was inadequate during the alleged attack on JP Nadda on Thursday
New Delhi, 11/12: Jagdeep Dhankar, the Honorable Governor of West Bengal has sent his report to the Home Ministry on the alleged attack on BJP chief JP Nadda’s convoy on Thursday. In his report he has said that the security was inadequate during the convoy. Mr. Dhankar will also be meeting the chairperson of National Commission for Women (NCW) to get further details of the entire incident on Thursday.
MHA has summoned DGP of West Bengal and the Chief Secretary on December 14.
The report of Bengal Governor Dhankar states that the local police should have strictly followed the security protocol and during Thursday’s incident, the protocols were ignored. The information of the national president’s programme was already given to the local police, but there was not enough security, said the Governor’s report. He has further said that the Bengal DGP and Chief Secretary have been instructed to take quick action against the accused in this regard.
