The Union Ministry of Health on Tuesday released guidelines and protocols based on Ayurveda and Yoga for the treatment of COVID-19. This National Clinical Protocol has been issued in collaboration with the Union Ministry of Health and the Ministry of AYUSH. The new protocol aims to treat corona’s mild or asymptomatic cases in the traditional way.
According to an official, “It has been found out from its use in different parts of the country that the role of Ayurveda and Yoga is very special in the treatment of COVID-19”. This protocol has been prepared based on the recommendations of the Ayush Research and Development Task Force. It has been claimed that all the symptoms of COVID-19 can be controlled by this traditional method of treatment.
These remedies are effective in relieving all the symptoms like sore throat, tiredness, shortness of breath, hypoxia, fever, headache. Herbs and mixtures such as Ashwagandha, Chyawanprash, Nagaradi Kashayan, Sitopaladi Churna, and Vyoshadi Vati are included in this protocol. All these ayurvedic medicines can be given to patients on the advice of Ayurvedic practitioners.
