Good news for Central Govt employees, DA hiked by 4%

New Delhi, 13/3: Union Cabinet approves a 4% hike in dearness allowance or employees and pensioners of the Central government on Friday. Dearness Allowance will be based on inflation and an increase in the market price of essential commodities.

The Union government had earlier said that Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR) was due for Central Government Employees and Pensioners with effect from January 1, 2020. The due DA/DR will be paid this month as it is normally done.
