Kolkata, 8/3: A Local 32-year-old BJP leader was shot in the Haringhata area of West Bengal’s Nadia district on Sunday. The man is identified as Sanjay Das.
According to the local police, Das was found injured during a patrol near a tea stall at Kapileswar Santoshpur and he was admitted to a hospital.
Ranaghat Police District SP, VSR Ananthnag, said that Sanjay Das is a booth president of the BJP under ward no 10 of Haringhata Municipality. He added, Das, is currently in stable condition and is stated to be out of danger.
The BJP has accused the TMC of attacking Das. TMC denied the charges and said that Das was shot as a result of the fallout of a clash among the members of the BJP.
