Odisha Bypolls: Voting starts with COVID-19 restrictions

Balasore/Tirtol, 3/11: Voting for by-polls to Balasore Sadar and Tirtol assembly constituencies commenced at 7 AM today in the midst of adherence to COVID-19 guidelines. This is the first election in the state after the pandemic. The Election Commission of India has made elaborate arrangements to guarantee safe polling. The number of voters in each polling booth has been restricted to 1000 for the reduction in crowding. The number of booths in Tirtol constituency has been increased from 265 to 373, and in Balasore Sadar constituency from 198 to 346.
