New Delhi, 9/3: Rana Kapoor, the founder of Yes Bank, who was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) at 3 am on Sunday under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, is facing a number of interesting facts. Rana bought Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi’s painting o for Rs 2 crore. His relationship with the Gandhi family has fallen on deaf ears after the shocking news came from the income tax department. This has led to a rift in national politics as the BJP-Congress war broke out.
Rana Kapoor, a 20-year-old Yes Bank promoter, was interrogated for 30 hours from Friday on charges of financial irregularities. Priyanka Gandhi, one of the grandchildren of the Gandhi family, has a close relationship with Bhadra and Rana, according to information obtained during interrogation at the Mumbai office. Rana bought a painting from Priyanka for Rs 2 crore. Investigators are working to determine what else Rana did with this prominent family in Indian politics. Opposition parties, including the Congress, are targeting the central government over the Yes Bank crisis, but the recent revelations have left the Gandhi family in a quandary. BJP leader Amit Malviya tweeted that the Gandhi family was deeply involved in all financial crimes in India. Malavya, who is in charge of the BJP’s Information and Technology Department, alleged that Vijay Mallya, the owner of Kingfisher Airlines and a liquor dealer, was sending flight tickets to Congress president Sonia Gandhi, Manmohan Singh, and P. Chidambaram. Fugitive Mallya also had links with Chidambaram (PC). Congress leader Rahul Gandhi inaugurated the Fugitive Jewelers’ Nirav Modi’s Bridal Jewelry Collection. Malavya has now criticized the issue of Rana’s purchase of Priyanka’s paintings. Congress, on the other hand, has denied the allegations.
