Superstar Rajinikanth announces to launch party in January 2021

Chennai, 3/12: Superstar Rajinikanth announced that he will launch his party in January of 2021, five months before the Tamil Nadu elections. In a tweet, the actor declared that he will announce the date of the launch of his party on December 31, 2020. With the announcement, the actor put years of speculation to an end, three days after he had a meeting with the senior office bearers of his forum the Rajini Makkal Mandram. “District office bearers expressed their opinions. They have said they will agree to whatever decision I take. I will announce my decision as soon as possible,” the actor answered the reporters outside his Poes Garden home. Rajinikanth and another actor-turned-politician Kamal Haasan are widely tipped to be the x-factors in the Tamil Nadu election in April-May. The superstar enjoys a fan-following that is second to none and his words played a big role in the 1996 elections, resulting in the loss of J. Jayalalitha and AIADMK, where he said, “If Jayalalithaa is voted back, even God cannot save Tamil Nadu”. Over the years, the superstar had denied any ties to politics although his meetings with the top leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) and statements in support of the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi suggested otherwise.
