Alibaba’s Jack Ma makes his first public appearance since October last year
Beijing, 20/1: The Chinese English teacher turned entrepreneur Jack Ma Yun who went missing in October last year made his first public appearance. He appeared during a rural teacher-themed social welfare event via video link on Wednesday.
Jack Ma attended the Jack Ma Rural Teachers Award ceremony via video in which he met with 100 rural teachers from across the country and said “we’ll meet again when the [COVID-19] epidemic is over!”
The ceremony was launched by the Jack Ma foundation in 2015. Jack Ma’s disappearance has sparked speculation about his whereabouts among many western media outlets.
