Central Govt Employees to get a salary Hike next year
Central government employees will get a pay hike from 2021. The dearness allowance, which is increased in every July was halted due to Covid 19.
New Delhi, 14/12: Covid 19 pandemic has created a hole in our economy, which has forced our government to slash the Dearness Allowance(DA) by 4%, from 21% to 17%. DA is increased every two years in july.
This time around due to Covid 19 the DA was slashed. This arrangement has been implemented till June 2021. After that, the government might give relief on DA and the employees will start getting more salary, while the pensioners will get more pension.
DA is given to improve the standard of living of government employees. It is increased twice a year. This is done so that the level of standard of living of employees is not affected after inflation increases.
