Delhi govt recommends rejection of mercy petition of Mukesh

New Delhi, 15/1: The Delhi government has recommended the rejection of mercy petition of the Nirbhaya convict Mukesh. Mukesh filed the mercy petition after the Supreme court rejected the curative petition on Tuesday.

As per procedure, the mercy petition is first forwarded to the Delhi government. Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia confirmed that the recommendation for rejection of mercy petition rejection was done in lightning speed.
