Bhubaneswar, 9/3: Hrushikesh Panda, an Oriya officer who has retired from the Indian Administrative Service (IAS4), has been given a new role by the central government. Hrishikesh has been appointed as the head of an important tribal ministry expert panel. The panel is expected to comment on various aspects of the Forest Rights Act. The panel will report within three months. The panel will also propose constructive changes to the basic rules. Similarly, the panel will work on the issues of forest rights, the livelihood of nomadic communities and the resettlement of displaced communities when the food is exhausted, and its solution and rights.
