India Bites Dust, lost to Australia by 8 wickets

Adelaide, 19/12: If anyone could have told that the test match will end within two sessions on the 3rd day, many won’t have believed that. Considering the fact that India had 9 wickets in hand and Pujara, Kohli, and Rahane still to come. But in a horror 1st hour for India, they were all out for just 36 runs, the lowest in their cricket history. No player touched the double-figure mark with Mayank Agarwal top-scoring with 9 runs.

India set Australia a target of 90 runs which they chased down comfortably losing just 2 wickets. Joe Burns scored an unbeaten 51. Earlier Hazlewood and Cummins wreaked havoc in the Indian batting line-up picking up 5 and 4 wickets respectively. None of the Indian batsmen was able to get going and one batsman followed the other.

Australia go 1-0 up in the 4 match series. The next test match i.e. the boxing day test match is going to be played in Melbourne on 26th December.

With Virat Kohli leaving the tour for the birth of his first child, Team India might not recover from today’s batting debacle and this horror run with the bat may continue for the rest of the tour. It will be surprising if India manages to win even one Test Match.
