Low depression forming in Bay of Bengal, to intensify by Sunday
After Cyclone Nivar, which has caused a widespread damage in southern states of India, namely Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, and parts of Andhra Pradesh, the Indian Meteorological Department(IMD) in Chennai has warned about another low depression forming in Bay of Bengal.
Chennai, 27/11: Hardly two days have passed since Cyclone Nivar causing widespread damage in southern India, the Indian Meteorological Department(IMD) has given caution about another low depression forming in the Bay of Bengal. According to IMD, the low depression will intensify by Sunday, and there are chances of it evolving into a cyclone. IMD Director-General Mrutunjay Mohapatra said that the low pressure is supposed to intensify in the Bay of Bengal from November 29, 2020, and it has to be checked whether or not it would develop into a cyclone.
