Mumbai, 24/1: Thousands of farmers from 21 districts of Maharashtra are marching towards Mumbai to protest Centre’s farm laws. The agitated farmers gathered in Nashik, and started the march from there. They will hold a protest in Mumbai’s Azad Maidan.
NCP head Sharad Pawar, who is an ally of ruling Maha Vikas Aghadi government, is expected to join the march.
The farmers are drawn from several smaller unions and have gathered themselves under the banner of the All India Kisan Sabha. They are expected to reach their destination Mumbai, by evening.
