Trump Impeached for a Historic Second Time
Washington, 14/1: The United States House of Representatives created History on Thursday by Impeaching Donald Trump for the second time. The House voted 232-197 in the favor of Trump’s Impeachment. In a surprising move, 10 republicans broke rank with their party to approve the article of impeachment.
The second Impeachment was due to the attack on the US Capitol building on January 6 by pro-Trump supporters. The incident resulted in the death of five people and many were left injured.
Donald Trump is alleged of inciting a violent insurrection against the United States government. The article of impeachment says, Trump “repeatedly issued false statements asserting that the presidential election results were fraudulent and should not be accepted”.
The article also referred to Trump’s speech where he says, “fight like hell” or they “will not have a country anymore”. It concludes that he is a “threat to security, democracy and the Constitution”.
Before Donald Trump two other US President’s were impeached, they are Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton.
