BSF Officer killed in ceasefire violation by Pakistan

A BSF Officer was killed in the ceasefire violation by the Pakistani troops on the forward posts along the Line of Control(LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu & Kashmir.

Jammu, 1/12: Border Security Force(BSF) Sub-Inspector(SI) Paotinsat Guite was martyred on Tuesday in an unprovoked ceasefire violation by Pakistani troops on the forward posts along the Line of Control(LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir. As per the official reports, the firing came from across the border in the Tarkundi area of the Mendhar sector.

SI Guite was associated with the 59 Battalion of the BSF. Indian troops replied to the ceasefire strongly. “On 1st Dec 2020, Pakistan Army restored to unprovoked ceasefire violation in Rajouri Sector on the Line of Control again, in which BSF Sub Inspector Paotinsat Guite, while deployed at FDL of BSF in Rajouri, attained martyrdom while displaying a conspicuous act of bravery in not only retaliating to the enemy fire but also saved many of his colleagues’ lives. Martyred ASI P Guite had displayed the highest degree of dedication and devotion to duty and laid down his life in the line of duty.” said an official statement issued by the BSF.
