Budget 2021 : Finance Minister and Team meet President Ramnath Kovind

New Delhi, 1/2: Ahead of the budget speech at 11 AM, Finance Minister  Nirmala Sitharaman, MoS Finance, and Corporate affairs  Anurag Thakur, and senior officials of the Ministry of Finance met President Ram Nath Kovind at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Finance Minister  Nirmala Sitharaman presented a copy of the budget  to the president.

The economic growth is four-decade low.  Till November 2020, the Centre’s non-tax revenues were at Rs 1.2 lakh crore, as against the budgeted Rs 3.8 lakh crore; non-debt capital receipts during the first eight months stood at Rs 18,141 crore against the budgeted Rs 2.25 lakh crore.
