Onion price again on a rise in Odisha

The price of onion sees another rise after a dip for a few days today in Odisha. The trader association officials said that this is due to the fact that trucks laden with Onions are unable to reach Odisha due to protest against the Citizenship amendment act.

As expected the price of onion marked a fall from 160 per kg to 100per kg after newly harvested Onions are brought from Nasik and Andhra Pradesh last week.

Apart from the protest, unusual rainfall has also hampered the delivery of Onions. The trader’s body hoped that the prices of vegetables and onions will become normal after the unwanted circumstances are over.
