Sensex manages to cross 47,000 points, Markets fall flat due to weak opening

Mumbai, 21/12: Domestic market indices were trading flat after a weak opening at the stock exchange. S&P BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty 50 fell due to weakness in banking stocks and damp global cues, the losses were adjusted by a rise in Reliance Industries Limited (RIL).

Sensex was down 0.43 percent at 46,766.44, while the Nifty 50 index fell nearly 0.5 percent to 13,692.40.

The fall in the market is due to the new mutant coronavirus strains that was found in the UK. Stock markets all over the world faced a fall in the stocks.
